The Specialty Hospital is a leading private teaching hospital, renowned throughout Jordan and the Middle East for providing high-quality medical services to Jordanians and foreign patients from the region and around the world.
Officially inaugurated under Royal patronage in 1993, the hospital has 265 beds. Its 90 resident doctors, and 343 nurses, along with 20 pharmacists, 3 clinical pharmacists and 700 consultants are dedicated to providing quality care to Jordanian and international patients.

The Specialty Hospital’s International Patients’ Office aims to facilitate non- Jordanian patients’ treatment. It connects patients with the needed specialist prior to the patient’s travel. A specialist will give an initial diagnosis, the needed treatment plan, with cost and the length of stay.

Teaching hospital
The Specialty Hospital is a well-recognized teaching institute for postgraduate physician training in eleven specialties approved by the Jordanian Medical Council, Arab Medical Council, and the Royal College of OB/GYN. Its leadership believes in the importance of enriching medical students’ skills and experience worldwide and the hospital receives trainees from many countries and regions including USA, Canada, Europe and many Arab countries.
The Specialty Hospital Knee Center is approved as a teaching center by the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
Its Specialty Training Center (STC) is an approved training center by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Social responsibility
Social responsibility initiatives are numerous: the hospital sent the first medical team to Libya during the revolution, sent medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to the Gaza strip, provides free medical days in Jordan, Palestine, Sudan and Chad in addition to many other initiatives locally and internationally.
